Domestic Representative
Definition:
A person residing within the United States who is appointed by a patentee or assignee of a trademark application or registration that does not reside in or is not domiciled within the United States.
PrinTEAS
Definition:
A former feature of the USPTO's electronic filing system that allowed applicants to complete a trademark application on-line, and then print it out for mailing to the USPTO.
Opposition Proceeding
Definition:
A proceeding before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in which the plaintiff seeks to prevent the issuance of a registration of a mark.
Demand
Definition:
Form PCT/IPEA/401, filed with an International Preliminary Examining Authority, demanding that an international application shall be the subject of an international preliminary examination.
Fanciful Marks
Definition:
Comprise terms that have been invented for the sole purpose of functioning as a trademark or service mark.
Opposition Proceeding
Definition:
